Some of you have asked for more communications and transparency from IRMLS. Here are the current Directors (BOD) of the organization representing the Founders (local REALTOR associations/boards) as well as the General Manager and Project Manager (manager of the 13 MLS conversions).

Representatives of the new IRMLS met with LPS (Paragon system vendor) for the first time to review the results of a comprehensive data analysis of all 13 Founder MLSs, performed by LPS. The results are documented in two summaries, developed by Julie Alert and the team.
Here is a powerpoint, which was shared with the IRMLS BOD on October 30. It is useful to begin to know the “direction” the group is heading for the new common data descriptions. It can be shared with anyone that has an interest in what the new system will look like (in terms of data).

Today, the North Central Indiana Association (Plymouth, IN) joined as the 13th Founder of IRMLS.
Leaders from the following REALTOR associations have worked together over the past year to create a bigger and better — new and improved MLS. They are moving to action to prepare for the future of MLS to make it easier for their members to do business and make money.
IRMLS will begin to serve the 5,000 members in the first quarter of 2013, when the MLSs for Ft. Wayne (UPSTAR) and Lafayette come together. The schedule and many more details will be forthcoming through this website so subscribe and stay tuned to find out when your MLS (below) is scheduled to become part of this.

Update August 29: Evansville joins the movement today. We now have Twelve Founder Boards moving forward with the newly created regional MLS service in Indiana. Leaders from sixteen associations have worked together over the past year to create their own customized Business Plan for the new service. According to the plan, the Indiana Regional MLS will service approximately 5,000 subscribers beginning in the first quarter of 2013.

Other boards are holding informational meetings with their members, brokers, association and/or MLS directors to discuss the benefits of the proposed services. This is ground breaking and I’m very proud of everyone who has worked so hard to get to this point. The deadline to join is 12 noon August 31 so stay tuned for updates continued.
